The Calibration Technician is responsible for the calibration, routine inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of instruments, meters, gauges and other testing and measuring equipment. The Calibration Technician is to ensure the accuracy and precision of the measurements taken using this equipment.This position is based in Houston, TX and reports to the Global Maintenance Manager under the direct supervision of the Manufacturing Calibration Lab Supervisor.Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensures the calibration status of all measuring and critical manufacturing equipment and that all assigned equipment is continually maintained with the highest standards, resulting in proper functionality and minimum failures.
- Verifying the completion of calibration test records, check reports on calibration failures and ensuring that calibration activities are performed in a professional and efficient manner to minimize equipment down time.
- Participates in Root Cause Analysis of failures.
- Assist in production and final testing of equipment.
- Ensures his/her work area is safe, clean, and orderly at all times.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of Wellbore Integrity Solutions and client information.
- Follows the company policies and procedures on health, safety and environment.
Qualifications:
- Associate of Applied Science Degree from accredited technical school or college, ideally in the study of electronics, instrumentation, computers or military equivalent.
- 0 - 2 years of experience in a maintenance/calibration-oriented job.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
