Job Title: Calibration TechnicianJob DescriptionAs a Calibration Technician, you will apply measurement science, mathematics, and physics to calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE). Your role ensures measurement accuracy in complex geometric dimensional inspections, maintaining company quality standards and conforming to customer specifications.
Responsibilities- Calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE) in disciplines such as electrical, dimensional, optical, and physical/mechanical to ensure compliance with published specifications traceable to NIST.
- Maintain primary and secondary calibration standards.
- Develop calibration procedures and methods according to detailed specifications.
- Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration.
- Analyze measurement data to identify abnormalities, trends, and predict future values.
- Identify IM&TE out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective actions via adjustments, component replacement, and correction factors.
- Schedule inside/outside vendor calibration services.
- Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
- Comply with all quality and safety regulations and procedures.
Essential Skills- Experience in calibration, mechanically inclined, and instrumentation.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience reading and interpreting complex documents such as part prints, routings, work orders, engineering specifications, and safety regulations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience writing technical documentation related to PPAPs.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating optical comparators, super micrometers, indicators, calipers, and height gauges.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting and reporting findings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
