Our citrus can be found in all channels of distribution, with our consumer brands most visible in the produce department of grocery stores across America under the flagship consumer brands of Wonderful Halos mandarins and Wonderful Sweet Scarletts Texas Red grapefruit.Job DescriptionOverview:The California Farming Compliance Administrator is an organizational leader responsible for ensuring compliance with current labor regulations and best practices to promote fair, safe, and healthy working conditions for both direct hire employees as well as FLC workers, and to mitigate organizational risk. Here's what you'll do:Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform HR audits to ensure compliance with current labor regulations
  • Review field documentation for compliance with FLSA, MSPA, IWC and other wage and hour regulations
  • Prepare management reports analyzing compliance trends with recommendations for corrective action plans
  • Communicate to farm managers and FLC's best practices, new regulations and compliance trends observed in the field
  • Interpret and enforce policy and regulatory changes, report risk assessments and implementation strategies to management
  • Audit FLC's timesheets, check stubs, and payroll reports
  • Support managing the US DOL Monitoring and Compliance Program including direct field inspections, reviewing and reporting findings and assisting with corrective action plans with FLCs as necessary
  • Deploy labor management system thru one-on-one training in Spanish for equipment operators, foreman, and supervisors
  • Provide over the phone support to foreman to ensure they can troubleshoot any issues with labor management system hardware.
QualificationsHere's what you'll bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's degree from 4 year university in Business, Management, Human Resources, Occupational Safety or related field and 2 years' experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bilingual English/ Spanish Required
  • Payroll experience
  • Advance Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail; analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Be a self-motivated and positive team member
  • Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Travel: Heavy travel between farming locations from Madera,CA to Ventura, CA.Schedule: May need to work alternate shifts. Weekend work required as needed.Pay Range: $70,000 - $75,000 and may include a discretionary bonus.
