Call Center Representative
Chesapeake ENT, a division of Chesapeake Specialty Care, is urgently hiring a Call Center Representative at our office location in Owings Mills, MD. The Call Center is a busy, fast-paced environment where all phone calls from our 4 office locations are routed. Call Center Representatives schedule all appointments as well as triage patient questions to determine if the call needs to be transferred. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments, which requires verification of the patient's insurance information, demographic details, reason for visit, etc.
- Check and return all messages in a timely manner.
- Maintain a positive work environment for the Call Center.
- Call patients affected by a schedule change to move their appointments.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to defuse conflicts and handle stressful situations in a positive manner.
- Highly effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills including courtesy, resourcefulness, and efficiency.
Education and Experience:
- Call center experience is required, preferably in a medical office.
- Computer/technology savvy a requirement.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
