Camp instructors deliver hands-on, educational experiences to youth aged 5-12 years old. Camp instructors are contracted per camp week and can work various weeks over summer breaks.
Job Duties Include:- Prepare and implement daily camp activities for a group of up to 20 campers.
- Supervise and assign tasks to camp assistants assigned to the camp room.
- Ensure inclusion of all campers in daily activities.
- Establish a positive relationship with other staff, parents, and participants. Provide parents, instructors, or camp leadership with feedback on campers as needed.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants by being aware of participant locations at all times, sharing and enforcing appropriate safety regulations and procedures, and identifying and responding to camper behavior issues.
- Maintain accurate program records including incident reports and daily attendance.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in education or other appropriate area of specialization from an accredited institution. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
