Job Summary:
Works with the CAMP Director to recruit and coordinate recruitment in Monett and other surrounding areas which may be assigned by the CAMP Director. Includes organizing and participating in recruitment related events through high schools, employers, and other organizations. Works with the CAMP Director to market Drury GO by meeting with organizations and industry representatives. Uses JRM (software) to recruit and track student inquiries.
Duties/Responsibilities:

* Responsible for assisting with the creation and implementation of recruitment and marketing strategies with CAMP Program Director and staff.
* Gives presentations to local leaders, agencies, and organizations.
* Frequently reports to CAMP Director on numbers of contacts, numbers of leads, and contact information obtained.
* Monitors lead generation activities including making initial contact with advisors and prospective students.
* Attends advisor meetings and trainings.
* Participates in training for JRM and other systems to improve planning and tracking of recruitment.
* Participates in Drury GO and campus-wide enrollment initiatives as directed.
* Attends job fairs and other social and professional functions when appropriate.
* Fosters interaction and engagement between the university, students, families, and the greater community, and communicates and builds an emphasis on higher education.
* Assists with leadership institutes for CAMP students.
* Assists students with registration, required academic paperwork, and completion of degree requirements.
* Provides day-to-day clerical support for CAMP program. This includes staff support and assistance with registration, student recruitment, scheduling, student record-keeping, and maintenance of CAMP policy handbook.

* Bilingual in Spanish and English.
* Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record with reliable transportation. Ability to drive to various locations for the recruitment of transfer students.
* Ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail is necessary to convey accurate information regarding degree requirements and college policies.
* Experience with Web 2.0 technologies such a social networking, podcasting, blogs, IM, and virtual worlds.
* Ability to set goals, to prioritize and to organize tasks and workload to complete assignments in a timely manner.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including courtesy and tact, are required to deal effectively with students, staff, and faculty.
* Spelling and grammar skills used in daily correspondence with students, staff, and faculty, are necessary to communicate correct information.
* Ability to have a professional and neat appearance for greeting and working with prospective students, current students, and faculty.
* Ability to solve problems and to think critically and independently to organize and complete work assignments.
* Ability to remember and recall details and events to assist with students' interests and educational needs.
* Ability to handle deadlines and stressful situations in a calm and orderly manner.
* Excellent computer skills. Must have a working knowledge and be able to utilize MS Word and Excel. Must be able to learn and utilize the mainframe, Jenzabar's EX web-based operating system, and related software programs. Database experience is preferred. Data mining experience is useful. Prior web experience is also useful. Must be willing to continue to learn new skills.
* Preference given to those with experience with migrant populations.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree and/or 1-2 years related experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
