Compensation: $20.82 - $26.03 Compensation Type: Hourly Employment Type: Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 30 Grade: NE11 Department: Academic Administration Position Summary The Campus Cupboard and Exchange Coordinator will join the SFCC Student Affairs team to maintain the organization of the food pantry (aka the Cupboard) and Exchange in collaboration with the Student Resource Coordinator, ensure food alignment with diverse populations, and oversee day-to-day operations. This role will monitor the budget, order products, network, and partner with community resources. The Coordinator will be an integral part of the Student Wellness Center. This role will be required to work on-site at Santa Fe Community College. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the Cupboard and Exchange is accessible during scheduled hours.
  • Collaborate with the Student Resource Coordinator on tracking data, including usage and inventory, and the creation of reports as required.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the Campus Cupboard.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with staff and student employees to help in the Cupboard and Exchange.
  • Assist the Student Resource Coordinator in meetings with applicable internal and external stakeholders to provide and expand upon the availability of goods in the Cupboard and Exchange, as requested.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring a consistent supply of food and essential items.
  • Monitor the budget allocated for the cupboard and order products as needed to ensure cost-effective purchasing and efficient use of funds.
  • Ensure all required certifications and training for staff, Student Ambassadors, and student workers are up to date.
  • Provides administrative and direct support for Student Wellness Center sponsored initiatives and events.
  • Works on assigned committees and panels as needed.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Knowledge of campus-wide programs and related student needs.
  • Skills in interpersonal relations and dealing with the public.
  • Skills in organizing items on shelves, in storage, and electronically.
  • Skills in oral and written communication.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize deadlines.
  • Ability to learn technology quickly, particularly Microsoft 365 and other software, such as for inventory management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six (6) years in food pantry operations, customer service, retail, or related field.
OR
  • Associates degree
  • Three (3) year experience in food pantry operations, customer service, retail, or related field.
OR
  • Bachelors degree
  • One (1) year experience in food pantry operations, customer service, retail, or related field.
  • Education may be substituted for relevant experience on a year-for-year basis.
Conditions of Employment:
  • Must obtain a NM food handling certificate and complete all SFCC onboarding requirements.
  • Valid NM Driver's license required. Successful completion of a defensive driving course post-selection is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Conversational Spanish proficiency
  • Some college coursework in social work, community service, or a related field
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform tasks that may require bending, stooping, and reaching.
Work Hours:
  • Typically, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
