Job Description:
OPPORTUNITY SUMMARYThe SRC Content Coordinator is a great opportunity for a student looking to gain experience help coordinate the operations of the CIA Activities Instagram & TikTok account. As the Operations Coordinator, the student is responsible for assisting in the hiring, training, and evaluation of all Student Photographer/Content Creators staff members. The position will also be creating individual pieces of content that will be shared across social media. The SRC Operations Coordinator reports directly to the Director - Student Engagement.SHIFTS:
  • Shifts Available: Various Hours Based on Programming. . Must work weekends and nights as needed
ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in the interview process for all applicants of the Student Photographer/Content Creator position.
  • Responsible for the training and onboarding of all new hires for the Student Photographer/Content Creator position.
  • Assist in the oversight of the CIA Activities Instagram & TikTok account.
  • Create a monthly content calendar for all staff to follow.
  • Coordinate the availability of staff to ensure coverage of campus events.
  • Ability and willingness to step in and cover events as needed.
  • Execute new marketing initiatives to increase engagement with the CIA Activities Instagram & TikTok account.
  • Responsible for the coordination of promotional shoots with other areas and students.
  • Lead a portion of the mandatory staff meetings, in addition to attending them.
  • Ability and willingness to step in and cover events as needed.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by Professional Staff.
PREREQUISITES
  • Actively engaged in the campus community.
  • Must be organized and reliable.
  • Knowledge of how to use social media (Instagram & TikTok) for marketing/advertising purposes.
  • Must be available to work night and weekends as needed.
PREFERRED PRIOR EXPERIENCES
  • 0-1 year of photography experience.
  • 0-1 year of social media/content creation experience, specifically with Instagram.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND LEARNING OUTCOMES OF ASSIGNMENT
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and adhering to standards of operational excellence, safety, efficiency and educational goals set by the CIA.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests, students, and faculty/staff.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to be adaptable, dependable and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
Successful applicant must be able to perform all related functions of the assignment which may include working nights and weekends, ability to bend reach and stand for long periods of time, lifting and carrying of items up to fifty (50) pounds, and the ability to withstand high ambient temperatures.
