Paid parental leave after 12 months of continuous service.WCU offers an abundance of training and development programs, certifications, workshops and conferences - many of which are offered free of charge.Position Summary The primary location of this position is the Cullowhee, NC campus.The supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Campus Mail Service, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of mail. Key responsibilities include coordinating the timely delivery of incoming mail from the U.S. Postal Service, processing outgoing mail with appropriate postage, and managing the staff responsible for these tasks.The supervisor also collaborates with campus departments to provide updates on postal service regulations and ensure compliance with both new and existing guidelines.Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position Knowledge of Postal Regulations and Procedures: Familiarity with U.S. Postal Service rules, bulk mailing requirements, and specialized postal services to ensure compliance and efficient mail handling.Leadership and Staff Management: Proven ability to supervise, train, and evaluate a team effectively, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.Time Management and Organizational Skills: Capability to prioritize tasks and ensure timely mail processing and delivery, even under tight deadlines.Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with campus departments and relay updates on postal regulations and services.Technical Proficiency: Competence with mail processing equipment and software, including postage meters and tracking systems, to streamline operations.Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency and two years of supervisory experience in the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.Anticipated Hiring Range $40,311 Position Type Permanent Full-Time Number of Hours per Week 40 Number of Months per Year 12 Salary Band Range $35,880 - $100,808 Salary Grade For administrative purposes during the implementation of Career Banding this contributing level posiiton is considered a Salary Grade 65.Posting Text Open Date 12/03/2024 Close Date 12/17/2024 Open Until Filled No Special Instructions to Applicants Applicants must apply online in order to be considered.
