POSITION TITLE: Campus Office AideEXEMPTION STATUS: Non-exemptREPORTS TO: PrincipalTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-time/Temporary 24-25 school yearHOURLY SALARY RANGE: Minimum $12.15, Midpoint $15.19, Maximum $18.22Primary Purpose: Provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office.Qualifications:Education/CertificationHigh school diploma or GEDSpecial Knowledge/SkillsEffective organizational, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skillsAbility to use personal computer to develop spreadsheets, maintain databases, and perform word processingProficiency in keyboarding and file maintenanceAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to operate multi-line phone systemExperience:Related experience and/or trainingMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Reception
  • Receive and direct calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
  • Greet and direct visitors.
  • Maintain visitor log, conduct background check of visitors, and issue visitor badges.
Student Assistance
  • Assist parents in checking students in and out of school, receiving and distributing student materials, and answering questions.
  • In the absence of the school nurse, follow the medical protocols in administering students' medication, taking temperatures, and notifying parents.
  • Assist in supervising students throughout the school day including before and after school, inside and outside the classroom, in hallways, in the cafeteria, at drop-off and pick-up locations, on the playground, and in other areas as assigned.
Clerical Support
  • Assist with scheduling teacher-parent conferences.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail, messages, documents, and other deliveries.
  • Assist with preparation of materials for mailing, including preparing labels and envelopes.
  • Maintain computerized files, including reports, staff and student rosters, and mailing lists.
  • Provide clerical assistance as needed.
Professional Growth and Development
  • Participate in professional learning programs, staff meetings, and special events as assigned.
  • Maintain familiarity with the district initiatives to better serve the needs of students.
Communication
  • Articulate the district's mission and goals to the community and solicit community support.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and district information.

  • Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, computer, peripherals, electronic devices
  • Posture: Moderate sitting/standing; occasional kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting
  • Motion: Frequent walking; frequent repetitive hand motions, keyboarding, use of mouse, wrist flexion/extension
  • Lifting: Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds without assistance, 30-55 pounds with assistance, and more than 55 pounds with appropriate assistance
  • Environment: Work inside and outside; exposure to contagious diseases
  • Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruption
