General Job Brief

The Campus Visit Specialist joyfully serves guests visiting Arizona Christian University. This position requires exhibiting a pleasant and friendly style of communication with campus guests, particularly prospective students, their families, and local school groups. The Visit Specialist will build and maintain partnerships with local school administrators, design special events that feature the distinctive culture and mission of ACU, and train and supervise ACU's student admissions ambassadors.

This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.

Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities:

The Campus Visit Specialist will create dynamic on-campus experiences for prospective families and visiting schools. Responsibilities may include:

* Coordinating and leading tours for prospective students and their families

* Ensuring that full-time and student team members prepare and keep Family Welcome Center spaces ready to host guests

* Scheduling, designing, and leading special campus enrollment events

* Partnering with enrollment and academic departments to meet recruitment goals and highlight university programs

* Conducting outreach with Arizona schools to promote campus visits and foster long-term partnerships

* Hiring, training, and supervising a team of student ambassadors

* Commitment to the University's faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith.

* Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.

* The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.

Fair Labor Standards Act

This position is considered to be full-time, non-exempt for overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state laws.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

* Bachelor's degree required

* At least one year of experience in event planning, recruitment or school admissions

Other Requirements

* Must be willing to occasionally work long shifts (12+) on both weekdays and weekends during events

* Regularly lift 20 pounds or fewer

* Proof of a valid Arizona driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required
