Looking for qualified and experienced Recruiter to help support Nirvana Center Dispensaries recruit new candidates throughout all of our states.Position Overview: As a Cannabis Recruiter, you will be a vital member of our Human Resources team, reporting directly to the HR Manager and HR Director. Your primary focus will be on sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for multiple facilities across the organization, including dispensaries, kitchens, cultivation sites, laboratories, production facilities, and more. You will leverage your expertise in recruitment and understanding of the cannabis sector to help build a diverse and skilled workforce that aligns with our company's mission and values.Key Responsibilities:Talent Sourcing:
- Utilize various platforms, including job boards, social media, and professional networks, to identify and engage potential candidates for a wide range of roles across multiple facilities.
- Build and maintain a robust network of industry contacts to facilitate talent acquisition and ensure access to a diverse talent pool.
Job Postings:
- Create detailed and compelling job descriptions tailored to the specific needs of each facility, accurately reflecting the responsibilities and requirements of each position.
- Manage and post job openings on relevant platforms and social media channels, ensuring visibility to a broad and diverse audience.
Screening and Interviewing:
- Review resumes and applications to assess qualifications and cultural fit for various roles across the organization.
- Conduct initial phone screenings to evaluate candidate interest and suitability, coordinating interviews with hiring managers at different facilities.
- Prepare candidates for interviews by providing insights into company culture and expectations, and offer constructive feedback post-interview.
Candidate Management:
- Maintain an organized database of candidates, tracking their progress throughout the recruitment process using an applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Regularly communicate with candidates to keep them informed about their application status and maintain engagement throughout the hiring process.
Collaboration with Hiring Managers:
- Partner closely with hiring managers across all facilities to understand their specific hiring needs, preferences, and the skills required for each role.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market trends, salary expectations, and candidate availability to assist in decision-making.
Onboarding Support:
- Assist in the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires, coordinating orientation and training activities as needed.
Industry Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date with cannabis industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Attend industry events, job fairs, and networking opportunities to expand knowledge and connections within the cannabis community.
Diversity and Inclusion:
- Promote and implement diversity hiring initiatives to attract a wide range of candidates and create an inclusive workforce.
- Ensure that all recruitment practices comply with company values and legal requirements regarding equal employment opportunities.
Reporting and Metrics:
- Prepare regular reports on recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, candidate quality, and diversity statistics, to share with the HR Manager and HR Director.
- Analyze recruitment data to identify areas for improvement and enhance recruitment strategies.
HR Administrative Support:
- Remain productive during slower recruitment periods by assisting with basic HR administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining employee records.
- Collaborate with the HR team on special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in recruiting, preferably in the cannabis industry or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of cannabis laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; must be comfortable speaking with diverse groups of people.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional travel for industry events and job fairs.
- Flexibility in work hours may be necessary to accommodate candidate schedules and ensure successful recruitment outcomes.
Compensation:
- Competitive Hourly Wage to start, may transition to salary as the position progresses and develops.
