Overview / Objectives:
- Provide customers with a comfortable, inspirational, and creative experience.
- Provide informed, accurate, and comprehensive product information to customers.
- Educate customers regarding safe and responsible cannabis consumption.
- Perform a variety of dispensary-related functions.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the customer experience, focusing on creating safe, welcoming, positive, and compliant customer visits.
- Perform transactions through the POS system accurately and efficiently; verify selection and quantity of customer purchases and ensure compliance with legal purchase limits.
- Partner with Compliance personnel to ensure retail transactions are carried out in compliance with CMR 500.105 and 500.140.
- Adhere to all state, regulatory, and dispensary requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Follow all cash, non-cash, and product asset protection guidelines and report any issues immediately.
- Maintain an advanced understanding of all products and educate guests regarding dosage, administration methods, safe, and responsible use.
- Maintain a sanitary, clean, and safe store environment.
- Assist as needed in the fulfillment and inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Accept manifested transfers of product to ensure product on-hand is accurate within METRC and enter product quantities into inventory system.
- Maintain organized and consistent product storage systems
- Conduct cycle counts and quarterly audits as requested.
- Record and report marijuana waste.
- Notify the General Manager of any inventory discrepancies / issues.
- All other tasks as needed to ensure a compliant, orderly, and well-maintained product inventory, and accurate fulfillment processing.
- Assist as needed with security responsibilities.
- Sign in visitors and monitor deliveries in and out of the building and loading area.
- Ensure that every customer is at least 21 years of age before allowing them into the building.
- Notify General Manager or Assistant General Manager of any emergency event that may require immediate response.
- Maintain knowledge of security response SOPs
- Assist with training new employees.
- Ensure responsible product consumption and service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
- Complete a 4-hour responsible vendor training and 4 hours annually of job-specific training
Qualifications:
- Education and work experience -
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years' experience in a fast-paced, client-service intensive industry.
- Previous dispensary experience helpful.
- Bilingual or multilingual a plus but not required.
- Knowledge and skills -
- Previous experience with Electronic POS (Point of Sale), inventory systems, METRC, and/or other Seed to Sale software preferred but not required.
- Able to communicate effectively and politely to all colleagues, community members, and customers.
- Requirements -
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Able to successfully pass an extensive background check.
- Must provide 1 professional and 1 personal reference.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current Marijuana Establishment Agent Registration Card.
- Willing to work differing shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Willing to attend events outside of the dispensary including but not limited to - trade shows, company sponsored events, required on and off-site trainings, etc.
