For over 30 years, Global Arts Live has been a leading force in bringing exceptional global music and dance to stages across Greater Boston. Our mission is to transcend borders, cultivate community, and enrich lives through cultural diversity and artistic expression. We are committed to investing in artists, developing audiences, and creating meaningful connections with under-represented immigrant populations and communities. To date, we have presented more than 800 artists from over 70 countries, performing in over 1,500 events attended by more than 1 million people.
As we embark on a new chapter, Global Arts Live is excited to announce the upcoming launch of a state-of-the-art performing arts center in Kendall Square, Cambridge, scheduled for 2026. Supported by a $15M fundraising campaign, this new venue will further our mission and amplify our impact. The development team, led by the Director of Advancement, currently consists of four staff members working towards an annual fundraising goal of $1M alongside the campaign.
The Role
The Capital Campaign Manager role, a unique 3-year term position, provides an opportunity to lead impactful projects and significantly contribute to the organization's mission. It is ideal for professionals seeking a high-impact role with a clear duration and career growth potential. Responsibilities include managing campaign operations, liaising with volunteers, and overseeing the prospect pipeline and information system. The position reports to the Director of Advancement and works closely with the CEO, Founder, Director of Artistic Programs, development staff, and campaign counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Coordination: Collaborate with the Director of Advancement and CEO to execute a successful campaign, including developing engagement and solicitation plans for all prospects.
- Prospect Management: Track and manage the prospect/donor pipeline, including research, cultivation and solicitation materials, task deadlines for the team, and all correspondence, using relational databases and development systems.
- Event Planning: Manage quarterly campaign events for cultivation and stewardship.
- Donor Communication: Communicate directly with donors and prospects to coordinate meetings, materials, pledges, and gifts.
- Manage Steering Committee: Organize and support Campaign Steering Committee meetings and its members' campaign activities.
- Revenue Tracking: Monitor campaign revenue progress and manage the campaign expense budget, ensuring accurate reporting in coordination with the Business Office.
- Collaboration: Work with campaign counsel and contribute to the overall health, growth, and goals of Global Arts Live, including advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Work Environment:
- The office is located at 720 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, and will be transitioning to 585 Kendall Street, Cambridge in late 2025/early 2026.
- Full-time position requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office with some schedule flexibility.
- Occasional night and weekend work for special events, concerts, and meetings.
What You'll Bring to the Team
We're looking for someone who's not just qualified but driven. Someone who's excited about helping shape the future of global performing arts in our new center.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of fundraising experience, ideally in a support role for frontline fundraisers.
- Interest in working with diverse communities and commitment to advancing antiracism.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM systems such as Tessitura and prospect research tools like Donor Search.
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods, walk up and down stairs, and lift up to 30 lbs.
