Responsible for value/opportunity identification, project execution, plant operating committee leadership, and annual capital planning. Develops and maintains the technical competency and project management skills of the group. Provides leadership to 3M Engineering through engineering sponsored committees and technical organizations. Develops and implements facility and equipment renewal plans in partnership with external and internal partners. Provides leadership, development, and coaching to execute projects on time (rapid execution), within budget (cost effective solutions), and with predictable spend accuracy. This role executes strategic and operational plans for the engineering group and supports execution of similar plans for their assigned production plants.As a Capital Engineering Sr Manager you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:* Leading group of Project Engineers to effectively and efficiently manage CapEx projects* Implement new technologies throughout 3M* Determines the most valued projects that need to be implemented* Supports operations and our commercial partnersYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:* Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution* Ten (10) years of Capital Project Execution in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:* Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or Business Administration from an accredited institution* Five (2) years of Capital Engineering Leadership in a private, public, government or military environment* Skills include: Communication, Planning, Leadership, Strategy, Prioritization, Project ExecutionWork location:* Primarily Resides in Knoxville, IA or Springfield, MO (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to other US supported Plants or Maplewood at least [5] days per month)Travel: May include up to 25% - domesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
