Job description
Reporting to the Director of Capital Markets & Development, this position will be involved in many aspects of capital market-related and business development functions for Rush Street Gaming. The candidate should have a strong background and understanding of corporate finance, new business development, joint venture formation, financial modeling and valuation methodology. The individual will work closely with the development and finance teams to successfully implement and execute development, financing, budgeting, business development and M&A initiatives. This position offers a high degree of autonomy and potential for professional growth in the dynamic and evolving gaming industry. The role will include high exposure to senior executives at Rush Street.
Duties and Responsibilities – Functional
- Develop and maintain various types of financial models to evaluate mergers, new business opportunities, joint ventures, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions
- Assists in special projects, including coordination and delivery of response to “Requests for Proposal” from government entities and other third parties with respect to new business development opportunities
- Assist in internal annual budgeting process and maintain / improve budgeting models
- Perform various valuation methods: comparable companies, precedents, and DCF
- Conduct preparation and review for materials including investment memoranda and management presentations for internal and external parties
- Perform due diligence, research analysis, and documentation or live transactions
- Assist new international and domestic project development efforts
- Liaison with the RSG legal team to review and formulate agreements in the business development area
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics with a strong academic record.
- At least 2 years of experience working in the investment banking, private equity, gaming or financial services industry.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is mandatory.
- Strong level of financial knowledge (financial modeling, macroeconomics, current events, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High motivation and work ethic, with a strong desire to excel in a challenging field.
- Good judgment in confidential situations and ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing in multiple jurisdictions.

Ideally, candidates should already reside commuting distance to Chicago, IL as position is based at corporate headquarters on N. Michigan Avenue.
