**Some of what you'll be doing:**
We have two openings for our Capital Project Manager III:
We have one (1) opening in our Infrastructure team and you would be focused on mechanical and electrical systems that are reaching the end of life or being expanded for the future.
We have one (1) opening in our Airfield team and you would be focused on capital projects throughout the airfield.
As a Capital Project Manager III - Infrastructure, you will manage complex projects under minimal supervision and interact with multiple internal and external contacts, including other government agencies.
+ You will develop, negotiate, and manage complex consultant contracts, budgets, schedules for design and construction.
+ You will develop, coordinate, and prepare presentations and documents including Commission memos, Service Agreements, Purchase Orders, and Request for Quotes (RFQ), and may present projects for approval or provide status reports at Investment Committee and Commission meetings.
+ You will facilitate project planning meetings to discuss/determine project objectives, develop program plans, define project scope, and recommend budget resources.
+ You will manage and oversee the design review process and negotiate contracts with selected design consultants.
+ You will provide information or respond to the public and other government entities regarding aspects of assigned project.
+ You will coordinate moderately complex environmental permitting processes and related issues.
+ You will be working with traditional design bid build and alternative public works contracts to deliver projects on schedule and budget.
+ You will ensure compliance with the Federal, State, Port and other agency regulations and guidelines.
+ You will coordinate closely with sponsors and stakeholders to minimize disruptions to airport/airline operations and the public. You will also ensure that provisions are included in project plans and specifications for safety of the public, Port staff, and contractors.
**Who you are:**
+ **Experienced** - You have five (5) years of construction project management experience, to include one (1) year of supervisory/lead/mentor experience including leading a project or process.
+ **Desired** - We hope you have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration or Environmental Science and any of the following certifications/licenses: Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).

You have a good grasp of the regulatory agencies, guidelines and procedures that inform capital construction projects.
+ **Critical Thinker** - You are skilled in utilizing critical and creative thinking, and problem solving. You can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize competing tasks. You have advanced research and analysis skills.
+ **Innovative** - You are someone who brings creative solutions to issues and can adapt quickly to meet changing demands.
**What else you need to know:**
+ **Driver's License** - You will need a valid Washington State Driver's License, or the ability to obtain one, is required in order to travel locally to project sites.
+ **Work Schedule** - Your normal work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Slightly more flexible start and end times are available in this role.
+ **Work Environment** - This work will take place in a hybrid/in-office setting at Management's discretion.
+ **Washington State Residency Requirement** - Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.
+ **Safety Requirements** - You will be required to comply with all work rules, safety, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
+ **Security Requirements** - As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance. You will also be required to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) Customs Seal within 30 days of hire.
