We are currently seeking a Capital Projects Manager at the Rumford Mill to manage and oversee maintenance and facilities related capital program, which may also include implementing projects and managing multi-mill initiatives at times. This role reports directly to the V.P. & General Manager of the Rumford Mill.
Job Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work
* The Capital Projects Manager will work with the mill maintenance and operations teams to plan, budget, manage and at times implement maintenance and facilities related capital projects while maintaining a safe work environment, and complying with all environmental policies and regulations.
* Develop and execute the 5-year facilities capital plan that include common systems such as air, water and steam systems, air conditioning systems, maintenance related upgrades, buildings and grounds assessments and repairs
* Provide Engineering support for capital, major repair and maintenance modifications, to include general engineering support for operations and maintenance, as needed
* Manage and lead projects and project teams consisting of operations, maintenance, process control, all engineering disciplines, environmental, consultants, vendors, suppliers, contractors, and others.
* Identify potential cost savings, process optimization, and equipment upgrades facility-wide.
* Support maintenance reliability efforts where capital upgrades can support continuous improvement
* Coordinate and lead common capital needs across all mills such as rolling stock, motor and pump upgrades as well as obsolete equipment risk assessments

Required Experience:
* Bachelor's of Science in Engineering
* Must have 5+ years' experience in capital project and or maintenance leadership in the Paper & Pulp industry
* Must have construction management experience which includes project metrics, scheduling and constructability.
* Must have experience and ability to develop bid packages, contract development and vendor selection.
* Strong project management skills to include scope, budget, and schedule development and control, appropriate delegation of responsibilities, and ability to hold team members accountable for activities, while maintaining project administrative responsibilities.
* Excellent written and oral communications, interpersonal and organization skills required for the development and justification of project authorization documents.
* Ability to function well within a team environment and assume team leadership position
* Must have strong time management skills, and prioritize multiple interests in the execution of an aggressive capital plan.
* Successful candidate will be a motivated, self-starter, capable of utilizing multiple resources to achieve well defined objectives.
