This is a functional role. No technical people will be submitted. Required Skills CAPPS Experience CAPPS stands for Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System, and is used by TX State Agencies Job Description Client is seeking a proactive CAPPS Financials subject matter expert (SME) who is comfortable navigating a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. Currently, client is in the post-implementation phase of a recent CAPPS deployment. System end users require hands-on support and process development guidance, as many of them are using CAPPS for the first time. Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one operational support to system end users, both at scheduled office hours -type sessions and on an ad hoc basis.
  • Provide the necessary technical input to complete a large number and variety of training materials.
  • Review documented process inventory and business process maps to gain a functional understanding of client operations.
  • Assist with updating business process maps to reflect actual state operations.
  • Assist with requirements gathering for business process and report/query development.
  • Facilitate live (virtual) training sessions on a variety of CAPPS Financials topics.
  • Attend, and contribute to, all design meetings requested by client.
  • Assist with providing status updates to client leadership on deliverable progress.
Qualifications
  • Experience advising Texas state agencies on CAPPS Financials configurations within the Purchasing, Accounts Payable, GL/KK, and Asset Management modules.
  • Experience designing business processes, including requirements gathering with end users.
  • Experience with requirements gathering for report/query needs.
  • Must be comfortable facilitating live training sessions covering a wide variety of topics within the Purchasing, Accounts Payable, GL/KK, and Asset Management modules.
  • Experience building comprehensive training documentation including Standard Operating Procedures and Job Aids.
  • Basic understanding of CAPPS Query Manager and BusinessObjects to support financial data research, as needed.
  • Experience presenting to senior client leadership, including business process design demonstrations and configuration recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with clients collaboratively, adapting to feedback and answering questions throughout the design process (for training materials, business processes, etc.).
