The Director, Capture Excellence is responsible leading a world class capture organization for Nightwing. This role is accountable for defining the standards, processes and tools utilized across the business for all capture efforts.Specific Responsibilities:Responsible for increasing Win Rate by adhering to the Winning Competitive Pursuits Framework, implementing NIGHTWING Best Practices and ensuring capture and proposal teams are staffed with the right resourcesResponsible for Capture Managers meeting their NBI budgets and increasing NBI Efficiency across all NIGHTWING pursuitsResponsible for attracting, recruiting and developing Mission Area LeadersResponsible for developing a diverse and unbeatable Capture Manager team and bench: establishing capture management as a distinct profession, institutionalizing Capture Manager talent reviews and ensuring purposeful rotational assignmentsResponsible for Capture Manager learning and development through Nightwing Capture Manager Certification, Continuous Education, Individual Development Plans, Mentor Matching and targeted presentation developmentResponsible for continuous improvement and innovation in winning competitive pursuitsResponsible for enterprise-wide knowledge transfer of winning competitive pursuits: win/loss analysis, capture forums, and training/equipping functional organizations on winning competitive pursuitsResponsible for Win Strategy Workshop, Blue Team 1, Blue Team 2, Gold Team and EN ReviewsResponsible for early engagement across the organization to create Competitive Advantage: use of investments to create Discriminators, shaping of Source Selection Plans/RFPs and driving Focused Pursuit ReviewsResponsible for developing leading indicators and metrics to access the health of our competitive capturesDrives the professional development of the Business Development professionwithin NIGHTWING based on the BD Capability FrameworkUS Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active US Security Clearance on day 1 of employment.Required Skills:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics or related science disciplineMinimum of 15 years' experience in leadership rolesMinimum of 10 years leading competitive capturesMinimum of 10 years of direct experience with the DoD, IC and / or Federal/Civil agenciesMinimum of 5 years' experience in Cybersecurity domainExpertise in implementing AI/ML capabilities to the bid and proposal process and increasing efficiency and quality in all areas.Demonstrated track record of winning large (>$100M) captures within the DoD, IC and / or Federal/Civil agenciesDemonstrated ability to make sound decisions in stressful business situationsDemonstrated ability to work independently and influence high performing teamsDemonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring of individuals and teamsDemonstrated experience working with complex acquisition processesMust have excellent oral and written communication skillsMust be available to travel as necessaryMust have current Secret or Top Secret and SCI security clearancesDesired Skills:Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related science fieldFamiliarity with Nightwing businesses, policies, and practicesSenior level experience with DoD, IC, Federal/Civil agencies operating in multiple markets or equivalent corporate business experienceDemonstrated networking abilities among various communities, e.g. acquisition officials/leads in the DoD and other government agencies, corporate enterprise, and industry partnersDesired Competencies:Demonstrates the Nightwing values of trust, respect, collaboration, innovation and accountabilityModels actions and positive behaviors that inspire and motivate team members to deliver winning resultsActively listens and solicits input from key internal and external stakeholders and capture team membersCommunicates openly and honestly to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders and capture team membersConsistently delivers on promises made to internal and external stakeholders and capture team members through all phases of capture and transition to contract awardPrepares and delivers clear and concise briefingsTranslates win strategy into executable capture plan and proposal development plan, including win themes and discriminatorsIs a continuous learner – building own knowledge and abilities, and, that of the capture manager's teams, on customer, competitors, capture practices, and Nightwing capabilities; The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
