We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Federal Capture Manager to join our dynamic Business Development team. The focus of this capture manager will largely be DLA and the DoD space. The successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying, pursuing, and winning new business opportunities within the federal government sector. Candidate should have experience pursuing and winning business at DLA. The Capture Manager will be responsible for developing and executing capture strategies to secure federal contracts and achieve revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Capture Strategy Development: Lead the development of comprehensive capture strategies for federal opportunities, including market analysis, competitive assessment, and win themes.
Opportunity Identification: Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the federal market, leveraging industry networks, market intelligence, and customer relationships.
Proposal Management: Collaborate with proposal teams to ensure the development of high-quality, compliant, and compelling proposals that align with customer needs and organizational capabilities.
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with federal customers, stakeholders, and partners to understand their needs, influence requirements, and position the company as a preferred contractor.
Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of competitors, including their strengths, weaknesses, pricing strategies, and previous contract performance, to enhance the company's competitive position.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with capture efforts, including technical, financial, and schedule-related challenges.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including business development, technical, legal, and finance, to align resources and strategies for successful capture execution.
Build Teams: Work with industry partners to build winning teams that resolve customer needs. Successfully negotiate teaming and similar agreements for pursuits.
Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on capture status, progress against targets, and any emerging risks or opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in federal capture management, business development, or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully capturing and winning federal contracts.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of DLA and DoD business practices. Existing relationships within the DLA. Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, FAR/DFAR regulations, and government contracting vehicles (e.g., GSA schedules, IDIQs, BPAs).
