- Take ownership of deliverables, ensuring Isometric's biomass-based carbon removal science is rigorous and up-to-date. Collaborate with carbon removal suppliers to understand their processes and support customer needs.
- Develop and refine MRV protocols to address net negativity, durability, uncertainty, and additionality in biomass-based carbon removal. Design leakage mitigation frameworks and streamline compliance evaluations with verification and technology teams.
- Engage with academia, national labs and industry partners to stay informed about sustainable biomass research and technology development.
Things we're looking for:
- A PhD degree in environmental science, forestry, agriculture, agro-economics, or a related field. Highly qualified applicants with a Master's degree will be considered.
- An interdisciplinary technical background in forestry, land use change or biomass sustainability. Experience analyzing biomass supply chains. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards governing biomass use is benefitial.
- A collaborative spirit, a solution-oriented mindset and a track record of delivering innovative and robust solutions in response to complex technical problems.
