- Valid California Registered Nurse License without restriction
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR
- American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- At least t hree (3) years of RN experience.
- At least two (2) years of recent RN experience on an inpatient critical care unit or within a Cardiology Device Clinic.
- Experience caring for patients receiving medical management of cardiac diseases and post cardiac interventions including hypertension, dyslipidemia, coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, cardiac cath recovery, sheath pulls, heart valve disease, mitral clip, TAVR, Watchman, heart failure, arrhythmias, cardioversion, and pacemaker/ICD implantation.
- Experience and advanced understanding of the medical management of cardiac diseases, arrhythmias, and surgical wounds.
- Experience providing patient education and caring for patients with cardiac diseases.
- Experience providing direct patient care including administering immunizations, starting IVs, drawing lab specimens, and administering IV medication.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
