About The Opportunity
Our team is seeking a BC/BE interventional cardiologist with experience in cardiac catheterization procedures. This opportunity is primarily an outpatient practice with inpatient consults and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am ' 5 pm. Call schedule is 1:3. Physician will work primarily in Altoona. Competitive compensation and benefits package includes base salary plus productivity bonus, sign-on bonus, relocation, annual CME days and allowance, PTO, health/dental/vision/life and disability insurance, employer-funded retirement plan, and occurrence-based malpractice insurance.
About The Practice
ARHS Blair Medical Associates Cardiology practice includes one interventional cardiologist, one non-invasive cardiologist, two electrophysiologists, one heart failure specialist, one vascular surgeon, four PAs and two CRNPs. We have offices in four locations. UPMC's Heart & Vascular Institute provides additional vascular, cardiac and thoracic surgeons. The hospital has two EP/cath labs which support Watchman and TAVR procedures. The primary outpatient clinic is in a medical mall, 1-1/2 miles from the hospital, and houses two medical labs, imaging, cardio-pulmonary rehab, PT/OT, sleep lab, walk-in clinic, and a number of primary and specialty physician office.

The hospital hosts a level II trauma center, regional oncology center, and a Joint Commission certified primary stroke center. The medical staff is composed of approximately 400 primary care physicians and specialists.
