Job Summary
Under the direction of the lab manager and medical director, the Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer performs most cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams. Provides quality patient care using lab physiological and ultrasound equipment. Assists with clinical rotations in both in-patient and out-patient settings as the schedule dictates and participates in after hours and on-call services. This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Associate's Degree - Graduate of a formal sonography program
1 year cardiac and vascular sonography experience performing non-invasive lab studies. Will consider clinical rotations during a formal educational program as experience.

In Lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, w ill consider clinical rotations during a formal educational program as experience or 5 years of dedicated cardiovascular lab experience.
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
Registered in vascular technology (ARDMS-RVT or CCI-RVS).
Registered in echocardiography (ARDMS-AE and/or ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCS)
BLS
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Medical terminology preferred
