Job Summary and QualificationsI.Position Summary:
Assists the Physician in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, electrophysiology procedures, structural heart procedures, and peripheral vascular procedures.
II.Position Requirements:
A.Licensure/Certification/ Registration:
Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate nursing licensure, or current registration as Registered Radiology Technologist (RTR), or current certification as Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS); current BLS certification and current ACLS certification through AHA or ARC.
B.Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, accredited RTR and/or RCIS training program.
C.Experience:
2 years' experience in critical care nursing preferred (RN). 2 years' experience in interventional radiology procedures (RTR) preferred. 2 years' experience in cardiovascular lab setting preferred (RCIS).
D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1. Available to fulfill the department requirements of being on-call for after hours emergency procedures and be with in the required thirty minute response time.
2. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at SMC.
3. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills.
4. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
5. Has patient assessment knowledge and ability.
