If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.Responsibilities+ Provides supportive patient care.+ Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficient and safe operations.+ Unit Secretary/clerical functions.+ Attends education programs, unit meetings and assigned committees.+ Shares responsibility for teaching and orientation of new personnel (within own skills)Qualifications+ HS diploma or equivalent+ 1-2 years of experience working with children/families preferred and+ CNA License+ If not a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) one of the following criteria must be met:+ Enrolled in a professional (BSN/AD) or practical (LPN) nursing education program and have successfully completed the fundamentals in nursing course.+ Within the past three (3) years, was a professional (BSN/AD) or practical (LPN) nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state licensure examination in any state.+ Completed an UAP (unlicensed assistive personnel) program in Missouri or another State (that meets current regulatory requirements) within the past three (3) years.+ Completed a professional (BSN/AD) or practical (LPN) nursing program outside the United States and is awaiting the licensure examination in this country.+ Worked as a nurse assistant, emergency medical technician (EMT), or surgical technician within the past three (3) years.+ BLS certification Required Upon Hire+ Some units may require bilingual skillsBenefits at Children's MercyThe benefits plans at Children's Mercy are one of many reasons we are recognized as one of the best places to work in Kansas City.
