Health Care Excellence for Maui since 1961 - The leading provider of quality health care for the residents and visitors of Maui as measured by : - patient satisfaction- patient outcomes- staff employment satisfactionDepartment:Provider ServicesOverall Purpose of the Position:The CCA works with the Quality Coordinator to improve patient quality scores. Duties include assessing and screening patients as well as providing patients with information about certain procedures mandated by quality guidelines. The CCA works with the patient's PCP and Quality Coordinator to close gaps in the patient's care.Major Job Responsibilities:Percentage:1. Inputs and monitors various insurance Programs and Quality measures utilizing available resources such as; Cozeva, OPS, Excel, etc. Extracts information from data resources to report findings for providers, staff and MMG leadership.30%2.Assists with the reporting of information to insurance plans. Works with providers and/or staff to make necessary status changes and to correct information. Assists with the development and implementation of quality projects. Works with provider to improve all quality scores and monitor provider's progress.25%3. Works with insurance plan representatives regarding the different programs available. Able to discuss requirements verbally and in writing with insurance plans, providers and MMG leadership.10%4. Comfortable with training department members, physicians and their staff on ECW and any and all other quality/insurance programs.10%5. Participates with patient data collection, health outcomes reporting, clinical audits, and programmatic evaluation related initiatives.10%6. All other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned10%7. Demonstrates quality work, completes assignments on a timely basis, and makes decisions within limits of authority. Takes initiative in problem solving, maintains confidentiality of patient and company information, and interacts with patients, co-workers, and management in a courteous and respectful manner. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.2.5%8. Maintains attendance standards consistent with company policy.2.5% Minimum Qualifications:Education/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent. One year of physician billing, medical insurance administration, or related experience.Skills/Knowledge:Possesses thorough knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing (Microsoft Excel & Word) andor any reporting tools or methods. Desired/Preferred Qualifications:Knowledgeable in medical insurance coding.Equipment Use:Personal Computer, Typewriter, Telephone, 10-Key, And Fax Machine.Characteristics:Must be willing to effectively participate as a team member with the entire Maui Medical Group staff. Must be committed to the protection of confidential information, records, and/or reports.
