Please ensure your resume includes the start and end dates (month and year) of any relevant positions you have held.JOB SUMMARYThe Patient Care Technician is responsible for assisting in direct patient care specific to the unit assigned; EKG's; Behavioral Health Observation; assisting with patient transfers and repositioning, transporting of patients, supplies, or specimens; and any other duties as deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient care and physician service, under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse. The Patient Care Technician is responsible to the Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse, Clinical Supervisor, Department Manager/Director, Nursing Supervisor, Associate Directors of Nursing Services and the Chief Nursing Officer..This is an ideal role for those exploring a career in healthcare to learn important knowledge, skills, and abilities.Schedule:PRN - 4 days per six weeks2 days (6:45 am to 7:15 pm) and 2 nights (6:45 pm to 7:15 am) and at least 3 or 4 weekend shifts per six weeks, 1 of which is a day shift.Holiday's rotatedUnit Details:17 beds, fast-paced, focused on teamwork, and full of learning opportunities. We care for patients of all ages in our community who are treated for urgent, emergent, or even life-threatening problems. Our patients are unique because of diverse diagnoses and specialized medical needs.
