Includestaking patients to tests, transfers and discharges.Transfer infusion pumps from pole to wheelchair, stretcher, and bed; Ensureequipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, infusion pumps, etc. areroutinely cleaned and available for use; Retrieve, tag, and deliver brokenequipment to repair shop. Deliver equipment back to unit once repaired.Supply and exchange medical gases throughout the facility as needed.Perform routine cleaning and stocking of medical carts.May function as an equipment and inventory technician who cleans, monitors, andmaintains routine respiratory care equipment throughout the hospital.May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined indepartment documents.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructions.Strong customer orientation.Strong team orientation.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAdditional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiringdepartment.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be metwith or without reasonable accommodation. This position is very active andmay require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning selfto reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. Theemployee may frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs and occasionallymove objects up to 25 lbs.This role may also routinely come into contact with patients who may havecontagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours aday, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work duringinclement weather will be required.
