Together, there's no stopping you!Job Title:Career Acceleration Program Associate - Commercial Banking DevelopmentJob Description:The Career Acceleration Program at Enterprise Bank is a selective program for those new to commercial banking, designed to help you accelerate your career. This 12-month, immersive rotational experience equips you with:
  • A strong and versatile skill set through in-depth functional, professional and leadership learning;
  • Advanced industry and organizational perspectives through discussions with our executive team;
  • A robust network of champions to support your career growth, including our department leaders, mentors, and alumni;
  • Proven experience through hands-on rotational assignments, supported by personalized feedback and coaching.
Rotations include:
  • Credit: Your time in credit will give you a solid foundation in financial analysis and underwriting, providing the perspective and skills needed to guide your future clients towards credit solutions customized to their unique needs. Your rotation will include evaluating and underwriting commercial credit requests, including completing a financial and credit risk analysis (including cash flow, collateral evaluation, market/industry data interpretation, and identification of key risks) and providing credit recommendations, leveraging Salesforce and nCino.
  • Loan Coordination, Documentation, & Servicing: Your time with the Loans team will build on your credit analysis skills, following the loan loan lifecycle. You will work alongside relationship managers to support new loan requests, renewals, and modifications, obtain pre-closing documentation, and guide loans through funding, disbursement and servicing, leveraging Salesforce and nCino.
  • Commercial Banking, Business Banking, Specialized Banking, & Treasury Management: Your final rotations will prepare you to confidently consult with clients to understand their needs, and equip them to grow their business through value-added credit and banking services. You will partner with leaders in the industry to actively participate in team meetings, sales meetings, marketing calls, client calls, and loan committee presentations. You will partner with leaders to utilize Salesforce to collaboratively manage Enterprise leads and opportunities, track activity to engage clients, and use dashboards to identify and maximize your - and your clients' - success.
  • Job shadowing: You will round out your banking experience by covering functions such as retail, operations, marketing, risk, community development, Human Resources, Compliance, Finance, and more.
Upon completion of the program, successful associates will be placed in a commercial banking role that aligns with their strengths and organizational needs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Learn to independently underwrite new and renewal commercial loan requests resulting in complete credit memorandums that would include sound credit recommendations and identification of key risks.
  • Ensure compliance with Loan Policy, Lending Guidelines and banking laws and regulations.
  • Actively participate in day-to-day activities of various lending teams by attending their meetings, client calls, site visits, etc.
  • Assist lending teams with preparing prescreen credit memorandums and working on various other tasks and projects to support the lending teams' management of loan portfolios and development of new business.
  • Attend loan committee meetings to become more familiar with the loan approval process.
  • Successfully complete various internal and external training activities as part of the training program.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to read a financial statement
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, customer-centric environment
  • Ability to work efficiently, with great attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently as self-starter and in a collaborative team environment to meet deadlines and produce desired outcomes

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent from a four-year college or university. Preferred emphasis in finance, accounting, economics or entrepreneurship.
  • Track record of service and leadership in a community or school based organization.

  • Google (Docs, Spreadsheets)

Relocation:
  • Ability to travel to Kansas City and Arizona, with extended stays up to one week.
  • Flexibility to travel to any location within the St. Louis region.
  • A candidate's ability to relocate following the completion of the program is a plus (ex: KC, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego)
