QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four (4) year college or university with a Bachelors Degree in social or behavioral science, human services or resources, or counseling, education, vocational rehabilitation, educational rehabilitation or a related field AND one (1) year of experience working with youth; OR
• Completion of a minimum of sixty (60) semester credit hours in a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university AND three (3) years of experience as outlined above.
• Civil Service position

DUTIES The position of Career Exploration Specialist designs meaningful career experiences for Grades K-12 students that enable students to grasp professional skills: career shadows, internships, career days, business tours, college tours, career speakers and learning experiences with industry professionals that empower students to transition into post-secondary studies and career pathways.

SALARY $35,662 - $39,024
