- Experience in library organization preferred
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and work well with elementary school students
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide library and clerical services for elementary school students and staff under the direction and supervision of the librarian and principal
- Work independently on daily tasks and larger library projects
- Support the joy of reading and district literacy goals through read-alouds, reader's advisory, and themed displays
- Organizing and maintaining the library space
- Checking in, checking out, and shelving books
- Repairing books
- Weeding books
- Inventory
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
