This staff member will be the first point of contact for the office providing exceptional customer service and administrative support.This staff member will also support integral departmental programs, including the campus student worker program, experiential learning initiatives, and the online job and internship recruitment platform, Handshake. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, a professional and courteous attitude, and an ability to work harmoniously with other employees, students, and the general public. This role is a full-time, in person, 35 hour per week, benefits-eligible position.Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary point of contact for the Office of Career Preparation and Experiential Learning, interacting regularly with RCBC students, faculty, staff, alumni, employers, and community members in person, by phone, and email to provide general support and assistance, including matters with Handshake.Maintain the office calendar and schedule meetings, events, workshops, and presentations through campus system, R25.Interact with employers related to on-campus recruitment events, fairs, and other student recruitment events. Collaborate with the Career Preparation Manager in the planning and coordination of these events.Support the campus student worker program by completing administrative tasks associated with the hiring and onboarding process. Assist RCBC hiring managers with filling on-campus positions.Connect students to online resources related to resume writing, job search strategies, career resources, and experiential learning.Support, maintain, and send communication to students through online platforms, primarily Handshake, used for student career advising, experiential learning, and job postings.Run and compile reports on student usage of CP/EL software.Support departmental marketing efforts, such as distributing marketing materials, promoting events, and coordination with the Marketing Department.Provide administrative support to the Experiential Learning Manager, Career Preparation Manager and the Executive Director of Academic Advising and Career Development.Performs other duties as assigned.OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.Minimum QualificationsEducation Required:Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree preferredExperience Required:Two (2) years' progressively responsible experience in an academic, government or corporate environment preferred.Experience in a higher education or workforce development environment is preferred.Experience utilizing the Handshake platform is a plus but not required.Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other RequirementsA professional and courteous manner and an ability to work harmoniously with other employees, students, and the general public.Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and to manage time effectively, as well as possess excellent organization skills.Strong written and oral communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Google docs, email and office database systems.Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.Must exhibit strong customer service skills.Ability to respect and maintain strict confidentiality in all matters related to the RCBC Office of Career Preparation and Experiential Learning.Must abide by all policies and procedures of the college, including ethical and professional standards.Additional InformationINSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.Employee Classification: Special ProjectsBenefits at a Glance- Special Projects ( you have an Associate's degree?
