JOB SUMMARY (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
  • Assisting individuals with mobility, including transferring from wheelchairs and helping with transportation.
  • Supporting personal hygiene tasks such as showering, dressing, and grooming.
  • Planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary needs.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment through regular facility cleaning and maintenance.
  • Monitoring and responding appropriately to individual behavior.
  • Collaborating with program staff to ensure comprehensive care for each individual.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Requires any combination of training, education, and/or experience equal to a high school diploma or GED.
  • 90 days experience in the field of disabilities, preferred.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical clearance at the time of hire.
  • Successful completion of Copa's training program meeting the requirements of contacted funding sources; the Division of Developmental Disabilities and/or Department of Health Services.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and any other required background checks, including drug screen testing.
  • Ability to meet Copa's driver authorized driving requirements set forth by Copa's insurance company, (Arizona Driver's license upon hire, 39-month MVR, proof of insurance and vehicle registration), if applicable.
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) speaking preferred.
