Beautiful Family Home |Beautiful Family Home| Rhinebeck, NY |Rhinebeck, NY| Part-time |Part-time| $15 - $50 an hour |$15 - $50 an hour| Help needed for a couple in their 80's living in a beautiful, spacious, country home in the town of Clinton (New York State, near Rhinebeck and Hyde Park). There may be potential for a live in situation. It would be best to begin with day visits. We need someone who could lift (average weight adult), drive to appointments, cook, do laundry, take BP, help with PT, medication reminders, and maybe showering or personal hygiene (depending how things progress). Hospice care may be needed later, we would like to keep everyone at home. A big plus for someone who would enjoy being a companion to Mom, who is losing her short term memory, but still a wonderful conversationalist - especially on science, ecology and animals (bird lover a plus !). She takes frequent naps, but when she's awake needs someone to remind her to use her walker, her balance is not the best. Both Mom and Dad are bookworms and rarely watch movies or TV. Compensation to be discussed. Part time or full time is possible. It might turn out that two different people part time would be better than one person full time. Family members will be available to help part time. No certifications required, but CNA, HHA and knowledge of nutrition a plus. Recent physical and proof of vaccination a must, including bivalent booster. We need someone who maintains virus caution in public. Please respond with a phone number and the best times to reach you.
