Job Summary:The Caregiver/CNA/HHA is a front line professional acting as a representative of Earthly Vessels Senior Care tasked with providing quality services to our clients. The Caregiver/CNA/HHA serves as a member of a Self-Directed Work Teams among Caregiver/CNA/HHA staff. The position has a wide scope of duties personalized for each client and performed under the auspices and direction of EVSC. The Caregiver/CNA/HHA will work independently of and cooperatively with co-workers and supervisers and therefore must balance good judgement and have initiative. The Caregiver/CNA/HHA will provide extraordinary services in compliance with regulatory requirements and EVSC's Polices and Standard Operating Procedures. - Compensation: $14 per hour
- Shifts ranges between the hours of 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am
Caregiver Responsibilities:
- Help clients take prescribed medication
- Help provide choices and quality standard of healthy living including, but not limited to: physical activity, mental stimulation, personal contact, specialized personal care, safe environment, nutrition, socialization, relaxation, humor, individual rights, advocacy, quality of life, and empowerment.
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
- Assist clients with ADL/IADL Support
- Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
- Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own, including preparing meals
- Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
- Report any incidents through ClearCare.
- Daily chart reporting through ClearCare.
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Caregiver Requirements:
- Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
- Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification (**preferred but not required)
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
- Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
- Physical endurance to complete required tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent
