Job Summary

Job Description: 8 Hour shifts, Monday through Friday around 10am-6pm. $500 bonus, payable $100 per month for 5 months. Seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide companion care for a pleasant elderly lady living in Herndon, VA. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive client to appointments and on errands. Must be willing to cook meals following a recipe and willing to do laundry. Consistency with the same Caregiver is important to this client. She walks with a cane and needs some assistance monitoring mobility for fall prevention. Meal preparation, light housekeeping, some grocery shopping and transportation to appointments and to run errands. She is a very polite and engaging client. Caregiver must have reliable transportation.Benefits:

Job Responsibilities

Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Follows the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
  • Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
  • Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
  • Observe and report any safety hazards found in the clients home or any significant observations regarding the client.
  • Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
  • Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor.
  • Report abnormal findings in clients conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Must have at least one year of documented experience as a Caregiver or licensed CNA.
  • Requirements:
    • Authorized to work in the United States
    • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to transport client
    • Pass a background check and drug screen
    • Current Driver's License
    • Current TB test
    • Immunizations to include COVID-19
