We need caregivers to assist seniors and disabled adults in Northwest Indiana with activities of daily living, in their homes or care facilities. Available shifts include days, evenings, nights, weekends, overnights, and live-ins.We are specifically looking for caregivers interested and willing to work 12 hours shifts 7am-7pm & overnights 7pm-7am. Must be willing to work every other weekend. Preference will be given to caregivers willing to work both days to help us minimize the number of caregivers in the client's home. This specific opportunity is in Munster, although there are other opportunities available with Right at Home across Lake and Porter counties. Caregiver Benefits

Caregiver Responsibilities:
  • Companionship: provide conversation, activities, light housekeeping, run errands, and transport/accompany clients to appointments and assist with medication reminders.
  • Personal Care: provide personal care assistance which could include preparing meals, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, encouraging exercises, and grooming.
  • Charting and Reporting: due diligence communicating concerns and changes in condition to a supportive office and care team members is important to ensure clients are remaining healthy and quality of life is improving, while giving loved ones piece of mind.
Requirements include: A minimum of 1-year experience caring for a senior or adult Ability to competently perform assigned tasks Good communication skills Warmth and compassion for people under your care Completion of a criminal background check, BMV check, TB test, and drug screen Valid drivers license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportationThe Following Skills and Qualifications are Preferred, but not Required:
  • No certification required; however, we commensurate pay for licensed CNA, HHA, and DSP certifications and experience
  • Caregiving experience in a professional setting (agency and/or facility experience)
  • Previous experience working 12 hour shifts
