Join our dynamic team at the Chinese American Service League (CASL) as a Caregiver Support Services Program Coordinator!Your Mission:As the Caregiver Support Services Program Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in administering and managing our Caregiver Support Services Program under the Department of Behavioral Health and Clinical Services. Reporting to the Associate Director of Behavioral Health, you will supervise and direct employees and volunteers, ensuring the effective delivery of services to caregivers and families. To hear about:CASL's history, watch hereCASL's future, watch hereYour Impact:As a Caregiver Support Services Program Coordinator, you will:Key Responsibilities:Clinical Responsibilities (60%):Lead contact for intake calls and referrals from the City of Chicago Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) and other sources.Ensure timely contact with referred caregivers, conducting needs assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up using the DFSS approved Tailored Caregiver Assessment and Referral (TCARE) Assessment.Address Social Determinants of Health Needs for caregivers and care recipients, referring them to appropriate internal CASL programs or external resources.Develop and maintain community partnerships to connect clients with additional services.Provide case management, crisis intervention, community support, and counseling/therapy services.Run support groups, Memory Café, Savvy Caregiver, Stress Busting for Family Caregivers, and other evidence-based programs.Maintain confidentiality and use Salesforce for data entry and report generation.Supervise, train, and coach direct reports to ensure culturally competent service delivery.Management Responsibilities (20%):Lead the Caregiver Support Services Program, ensuring compliance with grant work plans and evaluation plans.Assign cases, create schedules, and supervise staff, providing constructive feedback.Collaborate with other service departments to provide comprehensive service plans.Contribute to media campaigns, outreach, and website updates in collaboration with the Development and Marketing team.Provide supervision and training for personnel and interns, supporting their clinical and career development.Develop and maintain community partner relationships.Administration Responsibilities (20%):Maintain documentation and provide regular reports on program activities and outcomes.Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including client records and grant activity planning.Collaborate on budget preparation and staff development.Assist with grant proposals and reporting, and participate in meetings with funders as needed.Engage in professional development and maintain program policies and procedures.Must Haves:To thrive in this role, you should have:Education/Experience:Master's degree in psychology, social work, public health, human services, or a related field.Licensed or eligible to obtain a mental health-related license/certificate in Illinois.Two years of experience in social services, counseling, and administrative duties.One to two years of experience managing others.Skills/Knowledge:Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) or Spanish and English.Excellent communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts.Strong clinical documentation and record-keeping skills.Nice to Haves:License in Social Work/Licensed Professional Counselor or higher credential.Physical Demands:Ability to frequently sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.Environment and Scheduling:Work hours: 8:00 am to 7:00 pm in 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with one rotational Saturday a month.Flexibility to work after regular business hours when necessary.Delivery of services in home or community-based settings.Why Choose CASL:Inclusivity: Join an organization that values mutual respect and acceptance, fostering a culture of inclusivity.Empowerment: Support staff empowerment through skill development and growth opportunities.Collaboration: Be part of a workplace that thrives on collaboration and teamwork.Transformation: Envision and realize transformative changes in people, processes, and policies.Resiliency: Work with a dynamic workforce and model resiliency to achieve collective strengths.Benefits:Join CASL and unlock a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you and your loved ones.
