Be a part of the bigger picture, work alongside industry professionals, and discover the Rockingham County difference.SCOPE OF POSITION:The temporary/contract Caregiver/Transporter provides a range of support services for a grant funded pilot program to delay institutional care.A DAY IN THE LIFE:We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. We want our residents to feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives to include not only physical, but also emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, and intellectual well-being. The temporary/contract Caregiver/Transporter collaborates with existing adult day care programs in Rockingham County, healthcare professionals, family members, and facility staff to ensure the best care for program participants, along with providing support by actively engaging with participants through conversation/activities and providing comfort, companionship, and care. The Caregiver/Transporter assists with the mobility of participants, assures quality of care by needing their needs as outlined in the care plan, transports participants to and from programs, and is responsible for equipment during transportation (ex: oxygen tanks, AED, CPR equipment, cell phone, etc.). Further, this position maintains accurate and up-to-date records, care plans, and documentation in compliance with the program standards. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* Previous experience working with seniors or individuals with special needs.* Valid, unencumbered driver's license in good standing, with acceptable driving record.Equal Employment OpportunityMandatory post offer physical, drug testing, motor vehicle check, and road testing for new hire.
