Allied Caregivers Vermont - Non- Medical Personal Care Aide (PCA)

Job Summary : Provide supportive and personal services for the clients with consideration of dignity and privacy. Provide personal care and hygiene to personal assistance clients. This is a per diem position.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

High School Diploma

Ability to read, write and follow directions

At least 18 years of age and has demonstrated competency

Work positively and favorably with clients, families, and staff

Demonstrate compassion, responsibility, and cheerful attitude

Listed on the nurse aide registry with no finding against the aide relating to client abuse or neglect or misappropriation of client property

Physical and or work release and a TB (Tuberculosis) Test

Caregiverlist University Courses (2) completed online- Provided by Allied

Valid Drivers License

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Follows the instructions of the Supervisor in providing personal assistance services

Assist with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing

Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes etc.

Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client's home or any significant observations regarding the client

Completes mandatory annual training

Report client complaints to Supervisor

Maintain client confidentiality/adheres to HIPPA requirements and agency policy and procedures manual

Possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions

Report abnormal findings in client's conditions as observed and per care plan to supervisor

Clock in/out on time via App – enter a summary of detailed shift care notes.
