We are looking to add more adventurous souls to our team!A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CARGO COORDINATORIn this shipping position, you are the cornerstone of our success. You assist with our shipment operations, including receiving, delivery reconciliation, label preparation, and documentation. Extremely detail-oriented, you construct, weigh, label, and deliver pallets. You also assist with special cargo such as ice core. As needed, you carefully load and unload items from our aircraft.You always provide proper certification, documentation, packaging, and handling of hazardous materials for air transport. Highly organized, you track all cargo movement on our cargo tracking system. An excellent collaborator, you effectively coordinate with personnel from other sites. Safety is your number one priority as you complete each task. As needed, you deploy to Greenland or other bases to assist with cargo build-up or receiving. You love working with our excellent team and get great satisfaction from successfully managing our inventory and shipments!QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CARGO COORDINATOR
- 2+ years of experience planning and organizing supply movements or logistics planning
- Experience with remote site operations
- Hazardous material shipment certifications, including Transportation of Hazardous Materials (49CFR), IATA Dangerous Good Regulations (DGR), and Military Airlift of Hazardous Materials (AFMAN current version)
- Knowledge about aircraft load planning and regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials
