Operate associated power and hand tools and equipment. This is a full-time year-round benefit eligible position, paid at $25.00 - $30.00/hr, based on experience.ESSENTIAL DUTIESBuild and install door and window framing; install locks, doorknobs and other hardwareRepair and maintain doors, floors, windows, partitions, ceilings and building exteriorsBuild, repair and refinish wood furniture and fixtures to include cabinets, tables, shelving, bulletin boards, etc.Maintain carpentry tools in working orderErect, maintain, and dismantle walls and structuresRespond to resort work order requests and emergencies in a timely, efficient, and professional mannerMaintain appropriate service and repair recordsResearch, purchase, and inventory equipment, tools, parts, wood, chemicals and suppliesMay train and direct the work of other staff in the areaAssist and serves as back up to other Facilities employeesSupport department standards, policies, and work practices for staffAdditional duties as assignedEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSEducation:High School Diploma, or equivalent requiredTechnical Diploma, associate degree or two years college course work preferredExperience: 2 to 4 years of related experienceQUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTSBasic carpentry trade skills to include ability to read sketches, prints and diagrams; operate and maintain various hand and power toolsKnowledge of applicable Vermont Building Code, safety rules and practices is requiredAbility to take directionCommunicate clearly both written and verbalAbility to complete trainings as requiredTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Vehicle provided for travel on the mountain.
