Job Description:
Carpentry Construction Instructor will provide oversight, leadership and instruction in the ongoing planning, implementation, development, direction and evaluation of the schools' Construction Program. The Construction Instructor will ensure that the program offers the necessary pathways to certification, and program objectives are aligned to foster a career beyond graduation. NCCER certification a plus.RequirementsResponsibilities • Provides instruction which aligns to the course curriculum and ODE pathway learning outcomes;• Creates and maintain pathway relevant partnerships with area businesses, schools/colleges and develops a pipeline between the high school and college;• Acts as a career counselor to provide guidance and support to students as needed;• Collaborates with the marketing team to advertise the pathway program internally and externally;• Maintain and retain an enrollment of 10 or more student participants per year; • Employs creative instructional strategies to foster engagement and enthusiasm for the program;• Tracks students to ensure course competency and CTE status;• Schedules and administers CTE assessments and credentialing exams. • Maintains school's membership status in the Career Tech Student Organization and facilitates student participation in the CTSO;• Works with the building principals to ensure success of overall programming;• Evaluates programing for effectiveness and revision, when necessary;• Maintains an inventory of all program resources, equipment and supplies;• Attends and actively participates in professional development conferences and meetings at the local, state and national levels;• Assists with coordination of the Business Advisory Council meeting • Assists in establishing optimum learning environments and positive culture within the schoolPerforms any other duties as assigned
