Position Summary: The Case Management Housing Navigator Supervisor leads a team providing case management, outreach, and assessments for individuals and households seeking housing support. This role is responsible for overseeing the coordination of services and resources related to housing and other social determinants of health, while ensuring compliance and effectiveness across the team.Location: New Orleans, LouisianaJob Duties:
- Supervise and provide leadership to the Housing Navigator team, ensuring effective delivery of housing services.
- Oversee intake processes, case management, and assessments of new referrals.
- Support staff in identifying barriers faced by residents and make appropriate program referrals.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all activities, client interactions, and outcomes in electronic systems.
- Maintain compliance with housing navigation initiatives, organizational policies, and contractual obligations.
- Manage relationships with community partners, service providers, and external stakeholders.
- Act as an advocate and liaison for residents during relocation efforts, providing guidance to both staff and clients.
- Facilitate team meetings and participate in external stakeholder meetings to align efforts with organizational goals.
- Oversee client case records, housing waitlists, and ensure staff stay informed about relevant city, state, and federal housing programs.
- Address client housing challenges such as eviction prevention, rent payments, and documentation recovery.
- Perform other supervisory and job-related duties as assigned.
Education, Knowledge, and Skills:As a Case Management Housing Navigator Supervisor, you must have a minimum bachelor's degree, master's degree is preferred. Along with at least 2 years of case management experience is required:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field, master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in case management or social services; supervisory experience required.
- Strong knowledge of social services programs and housing navigation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and lead a team effectively.
- Proficient in computer applications and budget management.
- Valid Louisiana Driver's License required.
- Must be able to respond to designated locations within 72 hours when requested.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Perform administrative tasks and occasional travel as needed.
