Job Type Full-timeDescriptionJob Summary: Case Manager to work directly with client who are experiencing homelessness. Provide support and referrals to service providers to expedite clients' opportunities to obtain employment and obtain and retain stable housing so they may become self-sufficient and end their homelessness. Case managers primarily work in an office environment at the shelter location- there are times when case managers will assist with community events outside of the office to support our clients. An in-depth job description is available prior to your in-person interview.Essential Functions:Identify vulnerable individuals, and build an effective case plan for them customized to their individual needsRefer client to appropriate housing providersIf the client is job ready, assist clients in the employment processConduct weekly follow-up meetings with clients to provide continued support in achieving case plan goalsCollaborate with other departments, as well as program supervisor and managersEnsure data integrity for accurate reportingSeek out training opportunities for clientsFocus on helping parents find permanent housingOther Duties:Assist in training newly hired staff;Build and sustain relationships with campus partners;Perform other duties as required.Needed Competencies and Proficiencies:Competent written and verbal communication skills; competent in interpersonal negotiation;Ability to remain cool-headed and make good decisions in difficult situations;Commitment to a solution-focused work environment and the clear intention to meet clients' expectations.Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are based on agency and client needs and includes all Case Managers working either a Saturday or a Sunday each week, with time allotted for breaks/lunch. This is a Safety Sensitive Duty position, and some local travel may be required and will primarily occur during the business day. As a result, a Clean MVD record for the last 39 months will be required. RequirementsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral science or related field and minimum of one-year of social services experience, or equivalent relevant work experience equating to an Associate's degree AND 3 years of experience or 5 years' experience in Human Services without a degree;Computer Literacy, along with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook; highly accurate data entry skills;Possess or have the ability to obtain a State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card, prior to start date;Pass Drug screener (must have medical card for positive results)CPR-First Aid certification within 90 days of employment;Naloxone (Narcan) training within 90 days of employment.Clean MVR for the last 39 monthsPreferred:Bilingual in English and Spanish.
