This dynamic position plays an important role in helping ETS accomplish our mission! Job Summary: The OTP Case Manager role is part of the Case Management and Behavioral Health team that supports ETS mission through engagement and intensive case management and care coordination services for participants enrolled in MOUD (Medication for Opiate Use Disorder) services. This role makes a critical difference at ETS by providing direct services such as outreach, engagement, and support services for participants through intensive case management activities and collaboration with ETS partners, service providers, housing providers, and other community organizations. The position is full-time, on site, and the days and hours are typically Mondy-Friday 5:00AM-1:30PM. The annual salary range for this position is $28-30/hr. ($58,240- $62,400) DOE. What you contribute to this role Responsibilities: Help ETS succeed in carrying out our mission through working together with other staff to transform systems of harm and inequity to create different approaches to improving community health and safety through addressing substance use and homelessness. Assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine our interconnectedness within our community to overcome the aspects of our society and organizational culture shaped by white supremacy and settler colonialism. Work with participants to develop individualized case management plans. Develop rapport and a trusting relationship with participants through respectful outreach and person-centered engagement practices. Develop and implement with the participant an individualized service plan (ISP) which addresses their needs and priorities. Review and update this plan regularly to reflect progress and achievement of goals and the emergence of new needs. Assist participants in obtaining housing and maintaining housing stability. Assist participants with establishing and maintaining primary medical care and addressing chronic health conditions. Conduct individual case management sessions and document all participant contacts as required by federal, state, county, and ETS guidelines. Prepare reports including but not limited to outcomes, successes, etc. Identify gaps and barriers in available community resources and advocate for systemic changes. Attend program-related community, coalition and committee meetings as assigned. Consistently maintain professional boundaries with participants and coworkers. Act consistently to protect the confidentiality of all participants and the integrity of professional staff communication and behavior. Adhere to all the confidentiality requirements and guidelines outlined in HIPPA and 42 CFR, Part 2 federal regulations pertaining to chemical dependency treatment records. Conduct crisis intervention as needed. Some local travel may be required on behalf of the agency. Note: New and/or different duties and responsibilities may be assigned to this job at any time. Requirements What you bring to this role Qualifications: Education and/or Relevant and Lived Experience (if applicable): Associate or Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field preferred. Individuals with lived experience related to the population we serve is highly desired. A minimum of two years of experience in work related to substance use disorders, social work, or outreach programs. Experience providing services from a harm reduction perspective to individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges highly desirable. Active, restriction-free Washington State Drivers License is required. Knowledge and Skills: An understanding of racial justice and social equity and a commitment to helping create an equitable environment for all ETS clients and patients as well as fellow staff. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, patients, and staff from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. Understanding of harm reduction along with a demonstrated passion for serving individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use, and co-occurring disorders required. Street outreach experience is a plus. Ability to advocate and effectively communicate and problem solve under pressure in high stress situation. Ability to handle multiple tasks and switch between tasks quickly. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Good basic clerical skills including typing, ability to proof own work, good grammar, and spelling. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Strong interpersonal skills and verbal/ written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and complete tasks timely and efficiently. Dependable, able to work under pressure, receptive to change, willingness to learn, cooperative approach to problem solving. Flexible team player, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling highly sensitive information. Ability to set boundaries, resolve conflict and de-escalate issues. Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent suites such as Google Workspace), as well as a high level of initiative in keeping current with technological changes Skills needed include basic functions such as utilizing MS Outlook email and calendaring programs (or equivalent) and sending attachments, using MS Teams or equivalent chat, call, and videoconference features, and navigating search engines such as Edge or Google and carrying out browser searches and website benchmarking steps. Additional Essential Information: Physical Conditions and Requirements: The employee may be exposed to illicit drug residues and fumes or other bio-hazardous materials when carrying out job functions. There is also potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens. ETS will provide employees with appropriate training to limit the risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Policies and procedures are in place addressing each item specifically. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, and kneel; occasionally to climb balance, or stoop; rarely to crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, color, and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Equipment Used: Computer, photocopier, fax machine, and phone. Possible use of a program vehicle, for which a valid Drivers License and acceptable driving would be required.
