Under general supervision, provide case management, classification and transitional services to qualified individuals. Manages a variety of direct client services relative to the intervention and education of ex-offenders returning to the community as part of the Justice Service Center, a part of the Youth Violence Prevention Project. must be knowledgeable in counseling, interviewing, assessment, intervention, and education to clients referred to the Justice Service Center; must maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on client participation through the use of case files; the ability to consult with family members, parents, school officials, social services and mental health professional and probation officers if any, to identify nature and causes of social and behavioral problems related to drugs and crimes; represents Justice Service Center at various governmental, community and civic initiatives as needed on matters of a general public relations nature.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social Services, Public Administration, or closely related field and one (1) year of experience in criminal justice, case management, social or human services or closely related field.
