About the Position Divisional Case Manager is a full time, exempt, benefit eligible position. Reporting to the Dean of Student Life, the Case Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the overall wellbeing and thriving of our students by providing person-centered assistance, coordinating resources, and facilitating connections to help them navigate the various challenges and expected transitions related to college life. Primary Responsibilities Lead weekly CARE Team meetings to maintain open communication and provide timely, appropriate interventions for students of concern Serve as a leader on retention and persistence efforts to coordinate outreach and support for students in all phases of a College leave process transitioning to a leave, taking time away from the college, and returning from a leave Partner with divisional colleagues (e.g. Advising Deans, Access and Disability Services, Athletics, Counseling, Health Services, etc.) to provide data regarding trends, barriers to access, accessible alternatives, and campus resource utilization Monitor daily on-call reports and submissions from public-facing form to create and maintain electronic records using Maxient software Serve as primary case manager for short and long-term cases, delegating where appropriate Develop and implement a CARE action plan (and associated documentation) based on the recommendations from the National Association of Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment (NABITA) external review Research, coordinate, and evaluate specialized referral networks within the Philadelphia region and in other U.S. regions as needed. (Note the College does not endorse specific practices or specialists) Support and advocate for students navigating healthcare, insurance, and referral processes Coordinate resources, training, and other support services for students with specialized needs and provide consultation with student life team members in support of students seeking care Evaluate and coordinate cost-effective referral networks for students seeking psychoeducational testing and/or specialized psychological evaluations Serve as a consultant for educational and upstream intervention strategies within the Student Life division Develop and implement training and workshops for the college community on topics related to resource management and holistic care Maintain a comprehensive assessment plan for the CARE team and case management Work with the Director of Health and Wellbeing Education to maintain the on-campus Student Wellness Space Other duties as assigned Line of Report: The Divisional Case Manager reports to the Dean of Student Life, and has no full-time direct reports. Minimum Qualifications Masters degree in Higher Education, Student Development, Counseling, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field Three years of experience in case management, counseling, student affairs or a related field Professional Competencies Ability to promote diversity and competency in working with diverse student populations, including students of color, LGBTQIA+, first-generation, undocumented+, and international students Ability to balance consensus-driven decision-making and leadership authority Understanding of current scholarly work and promising practices in behavioral intervention and case management Ability to develop robust assessment plans for measuring success of programs and engaging in continuous improvement Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of campus constituents both in writing and orally/in person, particularly by designing and delivering presentations Ability to utilize appropriate technologies Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment Preferred Qualifications Five years of experience in case management, counseling, student affairs or a related field Experience with case management software like Maxient, Advocate, or Titanium Familiarity with behavioral intervention/CARE teams at institutions of higher education, preferably at a residential liberal arts college We are aware that some people are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every qualification in the job description including the preferred qualifications.
